very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the lamp. It is not made of fragile materials and is very stable on a plush carpet. the lamp connected together without any difficulty, all parts are tight, nothing has been stripped or off center. We found we really like dual bulbs and pull the switch instead of a single bulb and turn the knob.
